Our client, a multinational bank in Ghana, is seeking an experienced and motivated Branch Manager to join their team. As a Branch Manager, you will be responsible for planning, organising, coordinating, and steering branch activities to achieve the bank’s objectives and to meet set targets. You will ensure compliance with operational risk standards in respect of protecting people, customers, and assets and complying with relevant
legislations and procedures to do with fraud prevention and anti-money laundering (AML).

Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare the branch’s budget for management approval to serve as a guide for the commercial objectives of the branch
• Make an environmental analysis of the branch’s catchment area to unearth economic potential and assign strategies to win business in the area
• Allocate branch targets to the Relationship Officers and monitor their performance against targets to ensure these are achieved
• Review credit files prepared by ROs as well as memos to ensure that they meet credit policy requirement before submission.
• Review the activities of each RO weekly, providing the necessary coaching, and support where required to drive performance
• Conduct branch portfolio analyses and prepare branch performance reports in respect of branch targets
• Monitor commercial risk and debt collection rigorously to achieve low/zero non-performing
loans (NPLs)

Key Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities:
• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree from a recognised tertiary institution
• Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in the banking industry with credit writing skills
• Experience in sales is an added advantage
